What is Polymarket's Builder Program and should I use it?
The Builder Program lets third-party frontends route orders to Polymarket's CLOB via a unique Builder Code. Builders can charge up to 1% taker fee and 0.5% maker fee on trades. However, users need Polymarket-compatible wallets, you cannot add your own markets, and you have limited control over UX and user data. It is also restricted to Polymarket's jurisdictions and asset categories. For most operators, building your own platform with Polymarket data feeds offers better long-term economics and strategic independence, where you control the full stack, UX, fees, market categories, and compliance. The Builder model works best as a fast-to-market experiment, not a sustainable business.
