Social Networking Website Development for IT Security

Lee and Emma Fisher came up with this unique idea of creating a social networking website for people who are working in the field of IT security. The mission statement with which we started this website was

“Yoobug is an online community focusing on IT security.”

This meant that we were adding a new paradigm to our broad social media development index. After having developed social networking websites for students, colleges, real estate and many more, this was the time to offer something to the most active, forward looking and ahead of their times community, the web and Internet security experts.

This meant that we were moving towards creating a website that aimed at sharing views, news, research and concerns that people have related to IT security. This means that if any virus/malware/spyware outbreak happens, Yoobug is among the top sites on the web to notify about it.

We developed a comprehensive framework for this ever evolving Internet security platform and provided features link posting articles, pictures, embedding YouTube videos, links to let users share the information they have or the questions that they need an answer for. This online IT security community wants everyone to know how important the security is for the users. This is also a part of group activity hence you need to create groups or be the part of one. Hence, as we say, innovators, contributors or followers, this site means business to all!

Gelling well with the other technologies and platforms was deemed important and hence we provide RSS and Twitter integration. The backend interface would update the status of a user based upon the updates that happen on Twitter and in RSS feeds. Users could post articles out of live RSS feeds and also share content on other social media and social bookmarking sites using “Share This”.

A lot of thought went off in the process of finding the best foot forward with Lee and Emma and that’s what we have done in this project. Fantastic solutions were traded off and of course most of the times Lee won over our team with some great suggestions!

Our team gave a great shape to the clients’ vision of creating this community website. The user interface design, programming, tightening the security and installation and maintenance of the servers and developing the backend Admin panel was completely done by our team.

The website was made live on October 3, 2009 after a good amount of testing done. We achieved a lot more than what was expected and team got the applaud from client.
