Web Development Success Story: iForem

As a Web Design and Development Company we have always believed in giving our customers exceptional customer service. This resulted in not just having great bonding with our customers but also a lot of customer referrals all the time. In the early days of May, one such enquiry found its way in our Mailbox. You guessed it right, this was through a client reference. The enquiry was related to a vision never incorporated before in the web space till yet. The idea was put forward as – “Service that is based on pay once, use forever offering for storing, protecting and managing intellectual property or personal information”.

It was named iForem. iForem founders Stephen Pieraldi and T.J. De Luna thought about this company and created it on the day of love – the Valentine’s day of 2007. iForem founders thought of some excellent applications for file storage on the web and some great tools for enterprise file handling.

We realized right at the beginning that this was not going to be easy and put our best team on the task. The base was a new web service AMAZON S3 (Simple Storage Service). We were ready for the task as we explored our way to Amazon S3. Using this we had to create a system in which file could be handled based on various situations like a file deleted automatically or sent to users on a specific date. We started off real simple by making sure that a file reaches and stores itself on this Amazon S3 server. We were successful in the first pass easily. After that started a series of very smart moves by iForem in terms of features being introduced to the site and luckily our team withstood all the challenges and went ahead to deliver a product that completely met the expectations of its owners. We will admit that team Vinfotech has never worked harder on a project and this project literally gave everyone in the team sleepless nights.

Our team was responsible for designing the interface, programming every piece of code, understanding our customer’s vision and give it a shape, tightening the security around the entire process, E-Commerce Integration, installing applications & maintaining the complete servers.

1. Email File Directly to a Vault (Authenticated) / Taking Care of Attachments
2. Covert Ops : Send a file to a specific group of people on a specific time
3. Lockbox : It is like a Safety deposit box in which files can be dropped in
4. Dropbox : Notification area where any folder can act as a collector and those subscribed to it get notification that a file has been added
5. File Retention : Retain files for a specific period of time and then delete it.
6. Password Wallet : Save all usernames and passwords
7. License Tracker : Store information of all bought licenses at one place
8. Enhanced Security : Using Two Factor Authentication, SSL

iForem was selected to be launched on a grand stage of all web technologies – DEMO.com and all of a sudden all the hard work seemed to be completely worth. This was a dream launch for iForem as it was rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names of web space. A lot of innovations were introduced during the course of the development of this project and we are happy that in almost all the cases we were able to complete meet our customer’s vision. We are going strong in coming out with new modules and newer innovations on this. A project which all of us will cherish forever.
