Epicurean : Android

Description

The Epicurean gives user an ability to use Epicurean as a tool to allow a user to search foods of choice based on an Earth Location. This application is a multi-platform mobile tourist guide system, which uses Google API’s and PC client via Internet to present tourist contents of choice and the ability to dynamically build a geographical path between two geo point locations. Epicurean enhances tourism experience and offers more appreciative experience; even more so by incorporating features like maps and location-based services.

There are mainly two services in the Epicurean application:

Geo Location Service - Provides location information and answers proximity and range queries.

Content Management Services - Add the restaurants, foods type provided by a restaurant and its locations. This is also responsible for providing search contents.

Features

• It searches a nearby restaurant according to your latitude and longitude
• On clicking a row we will get the place located on the Google Map
• This application allows  satellite view of the location and text based description for the path located
• Restaurants search on the basis of food available
• Users can change our latitude longitude and can search for the near by restaurant
