“The Dharma consists of three edicts: Motive, Action and Consequence” – Bhishma, The Mahabharata.

There is a reason this quote is relevant here. Until now, we notice that several startup designs follow a key pattern. “Build and they shall come.” This is what can be called a Reactive Design. The keyword here is Reactive as in the end user shall react to the way design influences them. It has its merits because you are truly aware of what elements are emphatic and which ones play in the background of the UI Design. The Designer creates a homepage that prominently displays what is required as crucial and hopes that the user is going to be gravitated both by the innovation of the design as well as the information.

Refer to the quote and we can safely assume as much like Dharma, a good design has three key elements.

Motive: What is the motive of this design? Is it communication? Is it gravitation? Is it a combination of both?

Action: What process and which sequence of design elements are the best way to achieve the motive?

Consequence: How does the Design evoke a reaction? What does the end user think, feel, see and understand?

This is called a Proactive Process of Design. You do not wait for the end user’s reaction. Instead, you carefully craft a startup homepage that not only elaborates and enunciates on what the design is about but also why this particular symmetry exists. You decide the Why, the What and the How and present a completed vision with a comprehensive communique. There is a very simple but beautiful concept in UI Design Development known as Empathetic Design. A UI Designer is someone who has to offer empathy to every other aspect of the business, from the stakeholders to maintain the quality of the business communication, to the developers to understand the stability and features of the business and finally, the end user in order to provide for a coherent and expansive understanding of the business.

Empathetic Design is focused not solely on the user but on the key aspects of the entire Startup UX. A good Startup Web Design speaks to the end user not simply about the product and its features in a wry manner but provides a rich narrative about who is involved in the Startup Project, what is the entire project about and how it affects the end user as well as the startup itself.

It creates a personal bond between the end user and the Startup itself. Simply put, the Startup Web Design is like a story. The Designer is the co-author along with developers and Startup consultants. The Startup website homepage is the first chapter and establishes the story and the characters. And the design is the clear legible penmanship. A combination of all three elements is what goes into the making of a good story.
